Untamed Team

Following the Covid-19 pandemic, the world of filmmaking changed. With studio work and production halted, work dried up. The strike followed as filmmakers fought for ownership rights and fair pay for far better than fair work. As if a pandemic and strike were not enough, studios became risk adverse.

According to CNBC’s "Hollywood’s franchise frenzy" article, "...between 50% and 70% of the movies from the six major studios – Universal, Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount, Sony, and Lionsgate – will be related to existing IP." WTF.

Pandemic and strike and risk aversion, "Oh my!" What’s an indie to do?

Join Untamed Indie, that’s what the heck we do!

And hey, who started this untamed thing?

Glenn Morgan started Untamed Indie to provide filmmakers with control.

Glenn is the founding sponsor of the Lowell Film Festival for Future Filmmakers, an international film festival serving high school, college, and grad students. He works with independent filmmakers as they swim against the franchise IP and studio risk aversion tides. Untamed Indie fights these tides. We give filmmakers agency.

Prior to Untamed, Glenn was a partner in three web development firms among them iFactory; a firm creating first gen digital libraries for clients such as World Bank, Oxford University Press, and RR Donnelly and BeeLine; a company building first gen intranet portals for clients such as Bell South, Hearst Publishing, and Pfizer. At BeeLine he puked for many years over the stress of making payroll.

As a teen, Glenn partied like a savage. He was untamed and he flunked out of college his first year and was kicked out of a boarding house with two rules: no firearms and no motorcycles in the kitchen (they made additional rules after his departure). Thereafter, he went to community college and returned to graduate from University of Lowell (UML), and MIT Sloan.

When acknowledging his tame side, he runs a non-profit annually serving hundreds of children with holiday support in CA, IL, MA, NJ, Texas, and is the founder of a program donating art supplies to war prisoners and military guards. He’s written 150 short stories and a book under a pen name and is a self-certified Trophy Husband.
